Care Instructions

Step 1 — Measure Your Dog First

• Measure your dog's neck circumference, chest girth, and back length using a soft flexible tape measure before sizing.
• Use the size chart to confirm the correct fit across Teacup, X-Small, Small, Medium, Medium Long, Large, and X-Large.
• Always prioritise chest girth as the primary sizing measurement, using neck and length as secondary confirmations.

Step 2 — Fit the Harness Underneath First

• Always fit the corresponding YAP Wrap or Techno Harness® before putting the Ski® jacket on top for correct layering.
• Confirm the harness is fully adjusted, secured, and centred before placing the jacket over it for access to the D-ring.
• Ensure the harness D-ring is positioned correctly on the back before layering the coat on top for clean leash access.

Step 3 — Attach Optional Hood and Rear Panels

• In heavy rain, snow, or strong wind, attach the removable hood to the jacket neck before fitting the coat on your dog.
• Attach the rear leg panels for full lower body coverage during deep snow, skiing, or extreme cold weather outings.
• In mild conditions, remove both the hood and rear panels to keep the jacket lightweight and easy to move in.

Step 4 — Put On the Jacket

• With your dog standing calmly, guide the jacket over the back from neck to tail in a smooth and steady motion.
• Position the jacket so all 8 adjustment points are accessible and the GPS pocket sits in a convenient forward position.
• Wrap the underside panels around the belly and chest ensuring no fabric is bunching or twisted at any point.
• Fasten all closures securely from the chest toward the belly for the most even and balanced fit across the body.

Step 5 — Use the 8-Way Adjustment System

• Adjust all 8 adjustment points evenly so the jacket sits centred and balanced without pulling to either side.
• Two finger rule: slide two fingers under any panel or strap comfortably but with firm and even resistance throughout.
• Check that no fabric is pressing under the armpits, behind the elbows, or rubbing along the spine at any point.
• Allow your dog to walk and turn naturally to confirm the jacket moves freely without restricting motion or causing pressure.

Step 6 — Attach Leash and Go

• Feed the leash clip through the jacket's D-ring access point and clip directly to the harness D-ring underneath.
• Never clip the leash to the jacket itself as it is designed for weather protection only and not for leash tension.
• Load the GPS pocket with a beacon, treats, or small essentials before heading out for convenience on longer adventures.
• Perform a final check on all 8 adjustment points, the hood, and rear panels before stepping out into cold conditions.
