Care Instructions

• Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water using a mild detergent to preserve the velveteen and fleece trim.
• Wash separately or with similar colours on first wash to prevent any colour transfer to other garments.
• Do not use bleach or fabric softeners as these may break down the velveteen surface and fleece texture over time.
• Air dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight to preserve the coat's shape and fabric quality between uses.

Step 1 — Measure Your Dog First

• Measure your dog's neck circumference, chest girth, and back length using a soft flexible tape measure.
• Use the size chart to select the correct fit across X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2x-Large, and 3x-Large.
• Always match the size to the same-sized Yap Wrap or Techno Harness for the cleanest layering fit.

Step 2 — Fit the Harness First

• Always put your dog's harness on first before layering the Santa Coat on top for correct fitting order.
• Ensure the harness is fully adjusted and secure before placing the coat over it.
• Confirm the harness D ring is accessible and positioned correctly on the back before adding the coat.

Step 3 — Put On the Santa Coat

• With your dog standing calmly, open the zip-adjustable neck fully to create maximum room for fitting.
• Slip the coat over your dog's head and position it so the back panel sits flat along the spine.
• Guide the front of the coat down over the chest and ensure the integrated access slot aligns with the harness D ring.

Step 4 — Secure and Adjust

• Close the zip-adjustable neck gently and adjust to a comfortable fit without restriction around the throat.
• Smooth out the velveteen fabric so it sits flat with no bunching under the belly or across the shoulders.
• Check that the fleece trim sits comfortably at the edges without rubbing against the legs or armpits.
• Confirm the coat does not shift or slide during movement by giving your dog space to walk and turn naturally.

Step 5 — Attach Leash Through Access Slot

• Feed the leash clip through the integrated access slot on the back of the coat to reach the harness D ring.
• Clip the leash directly to the harness D ring underneath so the coat does not carry any leash tension.
• Never clip the leash to the coat itself as it is designed for style and warmth only, not leash attachment.

Step 6 — Final Check Before Heading Out

• Check that your dog can move, sit, and turn comfortably without the coat pulling or riding up.
• Perform a gentle tug on the coat to confirm it stays in position during natural movement and activity.
